Share one fun fact about yourself: I love costume design and creating fun and interesting clothing in my spare time.
What do you want to accomplish in the next 10 years?: I want to graduate from my undergrad and be proud of all I’ve accomplished. I would love to work in the sustainability and power generation field, doing research and continuing to learn as I go. Most importantly, I want to continue to empower and advocate for all the upcoming women in engineering, making sure they prosper.
The most inspiring engineer I know is ....... Because ........?: The most inspiring engineer I know is my older brother because of how hard-working and determined he is. He has a passion for engineering that I have seen in very few people. He has worked extremely hard for the position he has.
Profile Questions
Why did you choose your program of study?: I chose electrical engineering because the field is incredibly diverse with so many possibilities. There are so many branches within the field and it is ever growing. More importantly, I look forward to exploring energy systems and assistive technology.
What has been your favourite course (in Engineering) and why?: My favourite course in engineering has been electromagnetics. I was told that this course was going to be extremely difficult, and personally I love taking on challenges. I pushed myself to learn the course content and through my hard work, I learned how fun the course was. Ever since I took this course, I’ve learned how to welcome new challenges and be confident in my ability as an engineering student.
What has been the best part of your Engineering education to date?: The best part of my engineering education is the connections I have been able to make. There are so many opportunities to work with incredible people over some amazing projects. There are so many opportunities to learn and you are surrounded by such a diverse group of people that each experience leaves you with something new to explore.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?: I hope to specialize and do research on sustainability and the power generation field. Adapting to clean power solutions is more important than ever before. Researching our many options will make them more readily available and understandable.
