Why did you choose to study engineering?: In the 4th grade I met a female aerospace engineer who took me on a tour of a commercial airplane cockpit and all. From that moment I was fascinated in understanding how things work and how something so large
could fly.
How do you apply your engineering degree to your current career?: I apply my degree in the arena of cyber-security & operations. I help protect the largest enterprises by implementing solutions of great complexity at large scale.
What do you love most about your career?: The fact that I’ve been able to apply my skills in multiple industries around the world, on land, and in orbit.
What advice would you give to someone hoping to pursue a career in engineering?: Find some interests or activities outside the classroom. For me it was robotics which led to competing across North America and helped me greatly land my first job after university.
