Share one fun fact about yourself:
When I was in school at McMaster I started the Engineering Musical. It is still an epic part of student life to this day.

The most inspiring engineer I know is ....... Because ........ ?:
My brother. He has really found his strength in his civil engineering career and achieved so much. I am so proud of him.

Why did you choose to study engineering?:
To be honest, I followed my brother into the engineering world. I saw that he had to work hard and was able to learn interesting things. I love a challenge and I liked the idea of keeping my career options open.

I chose McMaster because it gave me the opportunity to study engineering and drama and to incorporate societal awareness in my education within the Eng and Society program.

How do you apply your engineering degree to your current career?:
While I can’t say I am still using my control systems knowledge much anymore, my engineering degree was fundamental in teaching me how to solve problems and juggle multiple priorities. These are skills I use every day in helping my clients solve their problems, prioritize and take action to improve their business outcomes.

What do you love most about your career?:
I love working with people to solve problems and enabling change. Technology has come such a long way over the past few decades, leading a lot of room for introduction of tools and changes to the way people work. I love helping my clients make those transitions and see the impacts.

What advice would you give to someone hoping to pursue a career in engineering?:
Engineering opens a world of possibilities and can give you the power to make a difference but it is a lot of hard work and perseverance. Stick with it and don’t forget to nurture your creative/artistic side along the way to keep you energized.
